- Negative spaced used to separate the images and text. To highlight more important/ stronger images a full page is given.
- Obvious headers have been used (hand made type) to mimic the photographs
- Type has been put into Columbus throughout
- Hierarchy has been used to separate informative text to important quotes. The quotes have been presented in colour and are bolder, larger than the small informative black type.
NEON - Fluorescent Graphics
- Different size images
- Images are separated into sections related to context
- Some images overlap both pages
- PVC cover printed on with a textured hard serviced book underneath showing the impact of neon
- Simple white background so the focus is on the images/ 'neon' colours of the book which the book is about
SHELIA HICKS
- Due to the book being textiles based the edges are torn/ rough edges to demonstrates cutting of material
- The front cover is highly simplistic but instantly connects to the purpose of the book showing texture straight away again relating to materials
- Different type layouts make the book more interesting and divides information
- Patterning of images on one side of the book and type on the other
THE FORM OF THE BOOK BOOK
- Some parts of the book are purely text written in an essay format to highlight the educational value of the book
- The book is also black and white keeping it formal and related to context
