Kyrre Gørvell-Dahll (Kygo)
- is a Norwegian DJ, record producer, musician, and songwriter.
- Kygo has accumulated over 69 billion views on his music on SoundCloud and YouTube
- He made history on 21 August 2016 at the 2016 Rio Olympics, when he became the first house music producer to perform at an Olympics closing ceremony.
- In March 2018, Billboard named Kygo as number three on their 2018 ranking of dance musicians titled Billboard Dance 100
- Kygo started getting piano lessons at the age of 6. He stopped when he was 15 or 16 and started producing music with Logic Studio and a MIDI keyboard while watching several tutorials on YouTube. When he decided to pursue music full-time he was halfway through a degree in business and finance at Heriot-Watt University in Edinburgh, Scotland
- KYGO signed a worldwide recording deal with Sony Music Entertainment in September.
- His first original track ‘Firestone’, released at the end of 2014, has now amassed over 7 million plays across SoundCloud and YouTube and over 40 million plays on Spotify, peaking at #4 in the worldwide Spotify chart.
