Book cover feedback from 2nd class group crit

 Group Crit Feedback:

- Book covers are effective and consistent throughout by the use of type and colour.
- Could you look at changing some aspects of colour schemes and link it more personally to the icons in your books
- Look more at the colours, using pink as it is based on women could come across as stereotypical.
- Recepit idea and type looks good
- Add title of books to spine
- Love the fabric cover dragged across front and back as it is unique and makes it flow
- Colours work well- makes them seem part of a set
- Imagery relates well to research and all relate to fashion
- Could present the blurb in a more unique way. You could experiment with layout more
- Clever use of type - could be more bolder as it could be difficult to read from a distance
- Choice of imagery is perfect for each book
- Figure one is the most successful. the textured image is perfect. However, in terms of a set this feels disconnected from the other two due to their being no blurb and the images on the other two images don't continue to the back.
- Possibly look into alternate colour schemes taken from the original books.
- Rational and final outcome are really well explained. Ideas and research go hand in hand.
- Imagery for each book cover is thought out and clever. Images are good quality and professional looking.
- Typography is also well thought out- linked to the spice girls shows solid research and reasoning.
- Back cover of 'IT' works really well with the textured background. The other two seem a bit plain compared to this.
- On your rationale try and outline your key theories or concepts you looked at, maybe contrast of hue?  It could work with the different shades of pink.
